The restaurant “Schützenwirt”, situated close to a pond, has characterised the village landscape of St. Jakob am Thurn for generations. Nowadays the organic restaurant is one of the leading places to eat in the region. Our guests not only love the high-end delicious cuisine, but also enjoy the idyllic surroundings. People can relax either outside on our lovely terrace or enjoy the inviting atmosphere inside. The menu is varied and offers many seasonal products. The chef de cuisine Klaus Petz only cooks with organic products -  typically Austrian dishes and exquisite meals. The “Schützenwirt” obtains the ingredients from certificated organic suppliers from the region and from the Demeter-farms nearby, for example the “Loitram-Gut” on the mountain “Gaisberg”. Any additives like flavour enhancers are an absolute taboo.
